Marquez Joins WestStar Bank’s Commercial Banking Group

Patricia MarquezEl Paso-based WestStar Bank has hired Patricia Marquez to serve as a lender in its commercial banking group. She is responsible for developing and managing commercial lending relationships and expanding new business.

Marquez brings 22 years of commercial banking and 12 years of business banking management experience to WestStar Bank. She has been successful in facilitating expansive business growth via developing and implementing strategic plans focused on managing loan portfolio strength. Throughout her career, Marquez has built a proven track record for building and maintaining sound business relationships, as well as implementing various regional/corporate business and sales initiatives.

Marquez earned her BBA degree in finance from the University of Texas–El Paso. She currently serves as chair of the El Paso Community College Foundation and sits on the boards of Project Arriba and the El Paso Greater Chamber of Commerce. She previously served on the boards of the Center Against Family Violence and United Way and has volunteered with Christmas in April and March of Dimes.

Established in 1990, WestStar Bank reports assets of more than $2 billion and serves the El Paso, Las Cruces (New Mexico) and Northern Mexico area, collectively known as the Borderplex region.
