Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

March 13–19, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that MapleMark Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to merge with Oakwood Bank, based in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, has applied to establish a branch at 3350 Steve Reynolds Blvd. in Duluth, Georgia.

Home Offices

The TDB reports that Capital Bank of Texas has applied to relocate its home office from 2105 N. 1st St. in Carrizo Springs to 4301 Westbank Dr., Suite 100C, in Austin.

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 1000 E. Basse Rd. in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, to establish a branch at 800 S. Hwy. 287 in Decatur.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to relocate the following branches: from 5235 Aldine Mail Rd. in Houston to 12403 Eastex Fwy. in Houston; and from 509 Pecan St., Ste. 201, in Fort Worth to 500 E. 4th St., Ste. 200, in Fort Worth.

The OCC reports that Amerant Bank National Association, based in Coral Gables, Florida, has applied to relocate a branch from 3200 S. Shepherd Dr. in Houston to 2555 W. Holcombe Blvd. in Houston.
