Louisiana-based Origin Bank Opens New Texas Location in Sugar Land 

January 29, 2026

Choudrant, Louisiana-based Origin Bank has opened its new location in Sugar Land, located at 2245 Texas Dr., Ste. 180, near the intersection of Interstate 69 and Hwy. 6. This marks the ninth Origin Bank location in the Houston region. Longtime banker Daniel Samuel leads the retail team that can support customers in English, Telugu and Tamil.

“It’s an honor to open the doors to our new location in Sugar Land,” says Jody Proler, regional chief operating officer. “We’re thrilled to welcome clients into this inviting space and to be able to support the needs of this fantastic community.”

Established in 1912, Origin Bank operates more than 55 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, East Texas, Houston, North Louisiana, Mississippi, South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
