Louisiana-Based Origin Bank Expands in Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston

February 11, 2021

Choudrant, Louisiana-based Origin Bank has announced expansions in its Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston regions with the opening of two new Texas banking centers. Its new 3,500-square-foot Medical City Dallas branch is located at 7777 Forest Lane, offering personal and business banking, insurance services, safe deposit box rentals and two ATMs. Origin Bank’s new location in The Woodlands, now open at 2501 Research Forest Dr., Suite A, features personal banking, mortgage lending, full-service commercial banking, drive-thru banking and a 24-hour ATM.

“As part of Origin’s ongoing commitment to the Dallas/Fort Worth community, we are particularly proud to serve the front-line medical and support staff who work at this campus,” says Warrie Birdwell, the bank’s North Texas president. “Their tireless efforts during the pandemic are nothing short of heroic, and Origin Bank is honored to serve them at this new banking center.”

Founded in 1974, Medical City Dallas is recognized worldwide for its state-of-the-art medical facilities and commitment to patient care. Patients travel from across the U.S. as well as more than 75 other countries for the sophisticated treatments offered. The 2-million-square-foot campus is home to more than 7,000 employees, including more than 1,500 physicians, plus an array of medical private practices.

“Origin Bank’s expansion of The Woodlands banking center demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the greater Houston area,” says Jody Proler, regional chief operating officer at Origin Bank. “With a team of experienced bankers, a spacious lobby and a full complement of banking services, Origin Bank’s new location reflects the incredible growth of this thriving community.”

Origin Bank has nine banking center locations throughout the Houston market. At the new location in The Woodlands, manager Karen Mixon and her team assist customers with their personal banking needs. Joe Cox, regional executive vice president, and his team offer full-service commercial banking and support for area businesses.

“We are excited to share our new location in The Woodlands with our loyal customers and the community,” says Carmen Jordan, Houston regional president of Origin Bank. “With the expansion of services and the convenience of drive-thru banking plus a 24-hour ATM, we are proud to elevate our customers’ banking experience at this new location.”

Established in 1912, Origin Bank operates 40 banking centers located from Dallas/Fort Worth across North Louisiana to Central Mississippi, as well as in Houston, Texas.
