Lone Star Capital Bank, Bank of San Antonio and Broadway Bank Named ‘Top Workplaces’ for 2020

October 16, 2020

San Antonio-based Lone Star Capital Bank , Bank of San Antonio and Broadway Bank have been selected as three of the “Top Workplaces” for 2020 by the San Antonio Express-News. This year’s recipients were announced during a virtual event on October 8, as well as featured in a Top Workplaces publication issued by the Express-News. The 2020 honor was bestowed to 85 companies whose employees participated in an anonymous survey and rated their employers positively in various categories, including work environment, communication and management.

“I am proud of the culture we have created and continually nurture—[one] that promotes our core values, [which] are equitably beneficial to our employees, customers and the communities we serve,” says Danny Buck, CEO of Lone Star Capital Bank. “Balancing those interests creates the environment at Lone Star Capital Bank that keeps many of our employees here for decades, customers loyal and communities well-served.”

David Bohne, president and CEO of Broadway Bank, notes that the circumstances faced this year make this third-consecutive placement at the top of the list especially important for the bank. “We talk a lot about what it means to be a Broadway Banker and that it’s great to be a Broadway Banker,” Bohne says. “It’s been even a better year to be a Broadway Banker because we’ve overcome so many challenges and the work environment is completely different.”

Established in 1999, Lone Star Capital Bank operates seven branches in San Antonio, Marble Falls, Blanco, Dripping Springs and Johnson City. The bank specializes in serving entrepreneurs, small- and medium-sized businesses, executives, professionals and real estate investors. Established in 2007, Bank of San Antonio operates four branches in the Alamo City and one in Schertz. Established in 1941, Broadway Bank operates 37 branches in Central Texas.
