Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

June 7–13, 2026

Conversions

The OCC reports that United Texas Bank NA, based in Dallas, has completed its conversion from a state-chartered bank to a national bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, to establish a branch at 4085 Wedgewood Lane in The Villages, Florida.

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank, based in Mercedes, has applied to establish a branch at 201 S. Texas Ave. in Mercedes.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to establish a branch at 829 Horizon Way in Melissa.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, to establish the following branches: 15944 Woodland Hills Dr. in Humble and 13357 FM 1488 Rd. in Magnolia. The agency also reports that PNC Bank has applied to establish a branch at 26590 E. University Dr. in Aubrey.

The TDB reports that Gulf Capital Bank, based in Houston, has applied to establish a branch at 9545 Katy Fwy., Ste. 110, in Houston.

The TDB reports that Security State Bank & Trust, based in Fredericksburg, has applied to relocate a branch from 3973 W. Vickery Blvd. in Fort Worth to 4310 W. Vickery Blvd. in Fort Worth.
