Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

June 27–July 3, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that Sunflower Bank National Association, based in Denver, Colorado, has applied to acquire Pioneer Bank SSB, based in Austin.

The TDB reports that First United Bank, based in Dimmitt, has applied to acquire First Bank and Trust of Childress, based in Childress.

Corporate Title Change

The OCC reports that  TIB The Independent BankersBank National Association, based in Farmers Branch, has changed its corporate title to TIB National Association.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Lamar National Bank, based in Paris, to establish a branch at 6801 Gaylord Pkwy. in Frisco.

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank of Jacksonville, based in Jacksonville, has applied to establish a branch at 704 S. John Reddit Dr. in Lufkin.

The TDB reports that Southside Bank, based in Tyler, has applied to establish a branch at 5665 Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 100, in Frisco.

The TDB reports that Texas First Bank, based in Texas City, has applied to establish a branch at 6363 Phelan Blvd. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish the following branches: 15720 Brixham Hill Ave, Ste. 300, in Charlotte, North Carolina; 4509 Creedmoor Rd., Ste. 201, in Raleigh, North Carolina; and 500 W. 5th St., Ste. 800, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
