Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

June 13–19, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Roscoe State Bank, based in Roscoe, has applied to merge with Cornerstone Home Lending, based in Houston, under the name Cornerstone Capital Bank SSB.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank of Aspermont, based in Aspermont, to purchase a branch from Vista Bank, based in Dallas. The branch is located at 231 S. Central Ave. in Hamlin.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Texas Capital Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to convert to a national association under the name Texas Capital Bank NA.

Branches

The TDB reports that Happy State Bank, based in Happy, has applied to establish the following branches: 2727 W. 7th St. in Fort Worth; and 559 IH 35 in Round Rock.

The TDB reports that Jefferson Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 8826 Bandera Rd. in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that Lone Star National Bank, based in Pharr, has established a branch at 129 FM 3167 Rd., Unit 10, in Rio Grande City.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Newfirst National Bank, based in El Campo, to relocate a branch from 609 N. Wells in Edna, to 711 N. Wells in Edna.
