Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

June 18–24, 2023

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Amerant Bank NA, based in Coral Gables, Florida, to establish a branch at 2229 San Felipe St., Ste. 100, in Houston.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Hwy. 290 and Ledgestone Dr. in Austin.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has applied to establish a branch in the HEB on 1621 Mason Rd. in Katy.

The OCC reports that USAA Federal Savings Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 10750 McDermott Fwy. in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 1155 N.E. Loop 410 in San Antonio. The agency also reports that it has approved applications by Frost Bank to establish the following branches: 2810 S. State Hwy. 161 in Grand Prairie and 108 Southmore Ave. in Pasadena.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Security Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 5151 Belt Line Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that The First State Bank, based in Louise, has applied to establish a branch at 200 Century Square Blvd. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that Tolleson Private Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish a branch at 8111 Douglas Ave. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that First Liberty Bank, based in Liberty, has applied to establish a branch at 979 CR 5270, Unit A, in Cleveland.
