Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

June 1–7, 2025

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that CapTex Bank, based in Fort Worth, has merged with and into Community National Bank and Trust of Texas, based in Corsicana.

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Eldorado, based in Eldorado, has acquired a branch of Western Bank, based in Lubbock. The branch is located at 100 S. Main St. in Loraine.

Branches

The OCC reports that American National Bank & Trust, based in Wichita Falls, has established a branch at 203 W. Walnut St., Ste. 101, in Decatur.

The OCC reports that VeraBank NA, based in Henderson, has established a branch at 2690 Becker Dr. in Brenham.

The OCC reports that Zions Bancorporation NA, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has established an Amegy Bank branch at 300 Convent St. in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The First National Bank of Granbury, based in Granbury, to establish a branch in the 2800 block of U.S. Hwy. 67 in Glen Rose.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish a branch at 6100 W. Fuqua St. in Houston.

The TDB reports that Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, has applied to establish a branch at 1930 N. Loop 1604 E in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that Freedom Bank, based in Alamo, has applied to establish a branch at 800 E. Tom Landry St. in Mission.

The TDB reports that Texas Financial Bank, based Eden, has applied to establish a branch at 711 Scurry St. in Big Spring.
