Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

July 4–10, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Capital Bank of Texas, based in  Carrizo Springs, has applied to merge with BAT Investments Inc. in Austin.

Home Office Relocation

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Susser Bank to relocate its home office from 500 Harwood in Bedford to 100 Crescent Ct., Ste. 575, in Dallas.

Branches

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has applied to establish the following branches: 3855 Lamar Ave. in Paris; 571 Walton Blvd. in Las Cruces, New Mexico; 17309 IH 30 S in Benton; 400 Bryant Ave. in Bryant; and 2004 S. Pleasant St. in Springdale.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Inwood National Bank, based in Dallas, to relocate a branch from 1551 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas to 1605 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, has established a branch at 5647 W. Lovers Ln. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Bank of the West, based in Grapevine, has established a branch at 710 1st St. in Marble Falls.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Happy State Bank, based in Happy, to establish the following branches: 2727 W. 7th St. in Fort Worth; and 559 IH 35 in Round Rock.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Jefferson Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 8826 Bandera Rd. in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that Texas First Bank, based in Texas City, has applied to establish a branch at 6363 Phelan Blvd. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Peoples Bank, based in Lubbock, has applied to relocate a branch from 106 S.W. Ave. C in Seminole to 200 N. Main St. in Seminole.
