Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

July 13–19, 2025

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that The Huntington National Bank, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to acquire Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas.

Conversions

The TDB reports that MapleMark Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to convert to an Oklahoma state charter under the name MapleMark Bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 20779 State Hwy. 46 W in Spring Branch.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish a branch at 1001 E. 41st St. in Austin.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Pilgrim Bank, based in Pittsburg, to establish a branch at 2072 Three Lakes Pkwy., Ste. 300 and 400, in Tyler.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish the following branches: 13341 W. US 290, Ste. 1201, in Austin and 1408 RM 620 S in Lakeway.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Traditions Bank, based in Katy, to establish a branch at 455 E. Medical Center Blvd., Ste. 175, in Webster.
