Jacksonville-based Austin Bank Promotes Trujillo and Rodarte

February 5, 2023

Jeff Austin III, chairman of Jacksonville-based Austin Bank, recently announced two promotions approved at the January 2023 board of directors meeting.

Julisa TrujilloJulisa Trujillo has been elected to serve as assistant vice president. A member of the human resources department, she joined Austin Bank in 2017, bringing with her several years of recruiting experience from a local call center. She has worked in many roles within the HR department and currently specializes in the recruitment and hiring of applicants in addition to serving as backup for payroll processing. Trujillo co-chairs the bank’s culture committee and serves as a mentor for new employees. She is a graduate of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program and the Austin Bank Leadership Program.

David RodarteDavid Rodarte has been promoted to assistant vice president. He joined Austin Bank at the Tyler Med Center location in 2016 as a teller. Furthering his career within the bank, he moved to the central loan department—working in the file room and uploads—before moving to the credit analyst department in 2018. Rodarte was promoted to senior credit analyst in 2021 and elected banking officer in 2022. He is a graduate of North East Texas Community College and the University of Texas–Tyler.

Established in 1900, Austin Bank operates 36 East Texas locations within 26 cities and 14 counties. It is locally owned and operated by the Austin family, which is celebrating 113 years of service in the Texas banking industry.
