The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) recently honored Rogers-Ford, L.C., Architecture and Interior Design with the 2021 IBAT President’s Award. Pat and Cindy Ford, company founders, accepted this prestigious honor on behalf of the company in September during IBAT’s 2021 Convention in Austin.
Rogers-Ford, L.C., based in Dallas, provides architecture and interior design services for banks across Texas. The company has been designing financial institutions for more than 25 years and remains focused on designing quality functional facilities. Rogers-Ford is client-focused, striving to design efficient environments for bank customers and personnel, as well as the communities those banks serve.
The IBAT President’s Award is given at the sole discretion of IBAT President and CEO Christopher Williston to an associate member that goes above and beyond in serving the community banking industry, IBAT members and the association. The recipient demonstrates an ongoing commitment that extends well beyond the delivery of service to IBAT members—it also includes consistent and passionate support of the community banking industry overall.
“IBAT is like a family and its members demonstrate a genuine and deep concern for others,” Williston notes. “That feeling of family is real and authentic, and it is because of people like Pat and Cindy Ford of Rogers Ford Architecture & Interior Design. Not only have they stepped up year after year to support the initiatives of our association, but they are also some of the warm faces who seem to be there every time the IBAT doors are open. They embody so many of the values that make IBAT more than just a professional organization.”
“Being a part of this organization, partnering with some of you, getting to know almost all of you and being a part of the communities you serve has been very special to us,” Cindy Ford told the audience during her acceptance speech. “It’s a pleasure to work with the IBAT staff, all of the banks we work with and our fellow associate members. We’ve developed friendships that are very special. IBAT is like family.”
“Much of what we did last year was negatively affected by the pandemic,” Williston told the audience. “As a professional association, it could have been disastrous, but we were able to make it work because of the support of IBAT’s associate members. So much of our work depends on contributions from them—the more than 200 non-bank companies that support us with sponsorships, advertising, booth purchases and the like. When everything shut down, these companies, which had already made financial commitments to IBAT, could have shut down as well. They could have boarded up shop and kept their powder dry until better days. And yet, almost every single one of these companies made a choice to keep their dollars invested in IBAT.”
