In Memoriam: Terry Lee, Veritex Community Bank

August 10, 2022

Terry LeeTerry Lee, director of correspondent banking for Dallas-based Veritex Community Bank, passed away on July 31 in McKinney. He grew up in Weatherford, graduated from North Texas State University and later was a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Lee was deeply devoted to his family and his faith.

Lee was a banking executive for more than 50 years and had served as the director of correspondent banking at Veritex Community Bank since 2016. He was a past board member of the Texas Bankers Association and previously served as chairman of the Texas Bankers Association Service Co.

Lee is survived by his son Zachary Lee and his wife, Katy; son Cody Lee; daughter Brittany Wilkinson and her husband, Jacob; and son Avery and his wife, Gabriella. He is also survived by brothers Doyle Lee and his wife, Becki; Paul Lee and his wife, Debbie; and sister Bernitta Kinsey and her husband, Gary.
