Hirschi Joins WestStar’s Executive Team as Chief Financial Officer

April 2, 2025

Nathan HirschiEl Paso-based WestStar has appointed Nathan T. Hirschi to executive vice president and chief financial officer. He brings more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting to his new post.

Hirschi previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at El Paso Electric Co. and served as a partner with KPMG LLP, an international financial services firm. During his career, he has been an audit partner with a big-four accounting firm, serving several public companies across various industries. Additionally, he held a number of executive roles, including chief financial officer, at a New York Stock Exchange-listed company based in El Paso.

Hirschi earned a BSBA degree with double majors in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona. He is a certified public accountant in Texas.

Established in 1990, WestStar serves the Borderplex region, which includes El Paso, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and northern Mexico with 15 branches.
