On May 19, San Antonio-based Frost Bank reached a milestone—its 200th financial center in Texas—when the bank’s Pflugerville branch opened for business. The bank will celebrate the new location on an upcoming date.
A 157-year-old bank with deep Texas roots, Frost Bank has been expanding in its Austin, Dallas and Houston regions. Pflugerville is the latest opening in an expansion program that began in 2018 and will result in a doubling of Frost Bank’s locations in the Austin region. The Pflugerville location is the bank’s 24th in the Austin region.
“Everyone in Frost’s Austin region, whether they are at the expansion locations or have been with our legacy sites, has played a role in this remarkable success,” Tim Crowley, Austin region president, wrote in a note to employees.
The new Pflugerville financial center includes one of the bank’s signature design features: a welcoming greeter station where bankers can assist customers with making a deposit and withdrawal, answer account questions, open an account or apply for a loan. Though contemporary in design, the new facility also includes unique design elements that reflect the bank’s local heritage and evoke the Texas spirit. Historic state maps and black-and-white photos of Texas line the walls.
Established in 1868, serves customers in the Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio regions.
