Frontier Bank Announces Expansion Into Round Rock

July 13, 2021

With the announcement of a new full-service location in Round Rock, Elgin-based Frontier Bank of Texas continues to grow its footprint and strengthen the bank’s position in Williamson County. The planned expansion will include the renovation of an existing property on O’Connor Dr. When completed, the Round Rock facility will feature a customer lobby, drive-up banking, night deposit and ATM services. It will mark the seventh brick-and-mortar location for the Central Texas community bank.

Frontier Bank Round Rock location“Serving the Round Rock community has long been a goal of the bank and it represents a natural next step in our growth,” says Kirk Watson, chairman. “Since the opening of our Leander location two years ago, we have been planning for new opportunities to serve the families and businesses of Williamson County. The Round Rock location will allow us to do so.”

The new Frontier banking center will be located in the Landing at Round Rock at 7509 O’Connor Dr., near the intersection of Hwy. 620. Preparations for the opening represent the latest in the bank’s expansion strategy.

“As the number of families, rooftops and businesses grows north of Austin and across Williamson County, it creates demand for the personal banking services that Frontier Bank offers,” says Patrick Johnson, CEO. “Round Rock is such a good fit for our bank and its culture and a great example of the kind of community we serve best. We couldn’t be happier about bringing the Frontier style of banking to this part of the market.”

Jennifer Mauck, senior vice president and Williamson County market manager, will head the Round Rock team. “This move into Round Rock solidifies our commitment to become the premier community bank in Williamson County,” Mauck says. “I look forward to serving our existing customers in Round Rock as well as building new relationships.”

Established in 2007, Frontier Bank of Texas has assets of $522 million and operates locations in Elgin, Bastrop, Manor, Austin and Leander.
