First United Bank Seeks to Break World Record Through United Acts of Kindness Day

February 11, 2021

February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness Day in the U.S. Founded in 1995 in Denver, Colorado, by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, the day celebrates and encourages random acts of kindness across the nation. This year, Dallas-based First United Bank is seeking to break a world record by completing 50,000 acts of kindness in a single day.

The bank is also seeking to have February 17 officially recognized as United Acts of Kindness Day in Dallas. Through the help and generosity of its employees, partnering organizations, local area businesses, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, churches, and other members of the community, First United Bank is hoping to spread a light of hope in the world and spark a revolution of kindness.

“The meaning behind United Acts of Kindness Day is for the people in our community to come together to spread joy, hope and love to friends, family, co-workers and neighbors,” the bank noted in a recent press release to promote the event. “Anyone can participate! The acts of kindness can be big or small. Just one act can spread kindness to others.”
