Gainesville-based First State Bank recently announced several promotions. Nate Bayless has been named senior vice president/branch president for First State Bank’s Decatur location, which serves Decatur, surrounding communities and Wise County. Evy Puente and Shane McKinney have both been promoted to assistant vice president/loan portfolio manager.

“The promotions are a product of the devotion First State Bank has to building strong financial foundations for customers and successful career paths for employees,” according to a press release issued by the bank. “And, with relentless improvement being a major focus of their core values, these advancements will not only support the growth of employees, but the institution as a whole.

Established in 1905, First State Bank is the oldest state bank in Texas and the first state-chartered bank to reach the centennial milestone. It operates 11 locations in Cooke, Denton, Grayson, Montague and Wise counties.
