Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Hires Docherty as Deputy General Counsel

Christine DochertyThe Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Christine Docherty vice president and deputy general counsel. She will manage the agency’s legal department and provide regulatory counsel for the bank. She also will be responsible for implementing the strategic direction for the department and overseeing compliance.

Docherty joins the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from Goodwin Procter, for which she worked on regulatory and transactional matters for financial institutions based both in the U.S. and abroad.
She also was previously a partner at Nutter McClennen & Fish and served as an attorney/advisor in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. At that agency, she helped implement economic programs to aid the recovery from the pandemic. In addition, Docherty previously served as associate general counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Docherty earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a BA degree from Columbia University.
