Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Appoints Searls Vice President of Financial Sector and Policy Analysis

Seth SearlsThe Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Seth Searls vice president of financial sector and policy analysis in the research department. His appointment is effective May 1. He will lead a team providing insights on global financial market developments, specifically relating to monetary policy.

Searls joins the bank from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he managed a team responsible for analyzing cross-cutting global market and policy themes for the open markets desk. He previously led the analysis of policy-relevant economic and market themes in Latin America, with a focus on Mexico and Brazil. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Searls was an advisor to the U.S. executive director at the Asian Development Bank and an international economist for the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of International Affairs.

Searls holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale College and a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University.
