Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

February 13–19, 2022

Bank Charter

The TDB reports that Texas Traditions Bank, based in Katy, has applied for a bank charter.

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Kemp, based in Kemp, has applied to acquire The First State Bank, based in Rice.

Branches

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has established a branch at 400 W. Davis in Conroe. The agency also reports that Woodforest National Bank has applied to establish a branch at 800 S. Hwy. 287 in Decatur.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has established a branch at 1608 Town Center Dr. in Pflugerville.

The OCC reports that Bank of Brenham NA, based in Brenham, has established a branch at 869 N. Earl Rudder Fwy. in Bryan.

The OCC reports that Austin Bank NA, based in Jacksonville, has applied to establish a branch at 107 Old River Rd. in Montgomery.

The OCC reports that Community National Bank, based in Midland, has applied to establish a branch at 17855 N. Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 195, in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Peoples State Bank, based in Rocksprings, has established a branch at 5858 Texas 27 in Center Point.

The TDB reports that American State Bank, based in Arp, has applied to establish a branch at 1700 N. Loop 336 W in Conroe.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish the following branches: 1212 McDermott Dr., Ste. 400, in Allen; and 5225 N. Garland Ave. in Garland.

The TDB reports that Freedom Bank, based in Freer, has applied to relocate a branch from 902 E Riley St. in Freer to 405 S. Norton in Freer.

The TDB reports that Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to relocate a branch from 403 S. W.W. White Rd. in San Antonio to 230 S. W.W. White Rd. in San Antonio.
