Ennis State Bank Opens 2024 Scholarship Opportunity to Area’s High School Seniors

February 16, 2024

Ennis State Bank has opened its 2024 scholarship application program to graduating high school seniors in the Ennis Independent School District. The bank is offering a $20,000 business scholarship and a $2,500 community scholarship with March 22 set as the application deadline. Ennis State Bank’s scholarship program has been helping young adults attend college for the past 15 years. The business scholarship awards $2,500 per semester to students wishing to pursue a four-year degree in a business-related field—banking, accounting, finance, economics or business—at a university or college. The community scholarship offers a one-time $2,500 award to be used toward books or tuition.

“In keeping our philosophy of giving back to our communities, Ennis State Bank | Trinity Capital Bank of Texas is pleased to offer scholarships to graduating seniors of Ennis High School, Sunnyvale High School and Crandall High School,” the bank notes on its website.

Alexis Cardino is a 2013 recipient of Ennis State Bank’s $20,00 business scholarship. After graduating from college, she returned to Ennis State Bank and now serves as assistant vice president at the bank. “I knew I wanted to come back to Ennis—back to my hometown,” she says. “Receiving that scholarship was probably one of the best things that’s happened to me and it’s definitely changed my life.”

Established in 1933, Ennis State Bank operates two branches in Ennis, as well as locations in Dallas, Forney and Sunnydale.
