Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

December 13–19, 2020

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Happy State Bank, based in Amarillo, has applied to acquire Muleshoe Bancshares Inc., based in Muleshoe, as well as First Bank of Muleshoe, based in Muleshoe.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Beal Bank SSB, based in Plano, has converted from a state savings bank to a Texas state-chartered bank under the name Beal Bank.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Affiliated Bank, based in Bedford, to convert to a Texas state-chartered bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that American National Bank & Trust, based in Wichita Falls, has established a branch at 120 S. Carroll Blvd. in Denton.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at the southeast corner of E. Basse Rd. and Nacogdoches Rd. in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank National Association, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has applied to establish a branch at 1100 S. Preston Rd. in Prosper.

The TDB reports that Southside Bank, based in Tyler, has applied to establish a branch at 1800 Post Oak Blvd., 6 Blvd. Place, Ste. 300, in Houston.
