Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

December 11–17, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that Great Plains National Bank, based in Elk City, Oklahoma, has completed its acquisition of Providence Bank of Texas SSB, based in Southlake.

The TDB reports that Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, has applied to acquire Lone Star State Bank of West Texas, in Lubbock.

The FRBD reports that it has approved an application by Victory Financial Corp., based in Lubbock, to become a bank holding company by acquiring Security State Bank, based in Winters

Home Offices

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by ValueBank Texas, based in Corpus Christi, to relocate its home office from 3649 Leopard St. in Corpus Christi to 5262 S. Staples St., Ste. 101, in Corpus Christi.

Branches

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank, based in Mercedes, has established the following branches: 1409 E. Ridge Rd. in McAllen; and 1414 FM 802 (Ruben Torres) in Brownsville.

The OCC reports that The City National Bank of Sulphur Springs, based in Sulphur Springs, has relocated a branch from 700 E. Lennon Dr. in Emory to 711 E. Lennon Dr. in Emory.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, to establish a branch at 10635 Louetta Rd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 4145 S. Cooper St. in Arlington.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Alliance Bank Central Texas, based in Woodway, to establish a branch at 3911 Williams Dr. in Georgetown.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 5510 S. IH 35 in Austin.
