Daniels Joins VeraBank’s Commercial Banking Team in Austin

November 25, 2025

Scott DanielsHenderson-based VeraBank has hired Scott Daniels to serve on its commercial banking team in downtown Austin. He will partner with local businesses to provide customized financing solutions. He has more than 15 years of experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, structured financing, investment advising, asset management and financial planning.

Before joining VeraBank, Daniels was senior vice president at SouthState Bank and, before that, served as senior vice president/commercial banking at Independent Financial for nine years. He earned both his BS degree and MS degree in personal financial planning from Texas Tech University. Outside of work, Daniels is an active member of Austin’s business and nonprofit circles.

Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 20 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with 41 branches.
