Citizens National Bank Breaks Ground on New Round Rock Location

June 1, 2022

Cameron-based Citizens National Bank recently broke ground on a new location in Round Rock at 110 S. Mays St. Located one mile south of the bank’s existing Round Rock branch at 201 W. Palm Valley, the new branch is in the heart of downtown at the corner of Mays and Bagdad. Several of the bank’s branches in other communities are centered in downtown locations. According to a press release, “the project is inspired by the historic architecture of downtown Round Rock, with a beautiful blend of historic appearance and modern amenities.” The new branch is expected to open in the first quarter of 2023.

“Family owned for 122 years, Citizens National bank understands the value and importance of community and we expect to serve our clients and the Round Rock community for another century,” says Steven Wise, president and CEO.

Spencer-Pierce Architecture + Interiors has been hired to design the new branch. The firm previously worked on Citizens National Bank offices in Cameron, Pflugerville, Giddings and Taylor. Cameron-based Texas EBCO General Contractor Ltd. will manage the build.

“I am extremely proud and grateful for the long-term relationship our firm has had with Citizens National Bank,” says Bo Spencer, principal architect with Spencer-Pierce Architecture + Interiors.

Established in 1900, Citizens National Bank operates eight branches across Central Texas in Milam, Lee, Williamson, Travis and Bell counties.
