Chadli Retiring as Chief Financial Officer from Texas Department of Banking

December 15, 2023

Sami ChadliSami Chadli, chief financial officer for the Texas Department of Banking for the past 11 years, has announced that he will retire on December 31, 2023.

“We would like to congratulate Sami for decades of service to the State of Texas and his commitment and loyalty to the citizens of Texas and the Department of Banking,” says Charles G. Cooper, commissioner of the Texas Department of Banking. “We hope he has a long and happy retirement.”

Chadli has overseen all financial, procurement and risk management areas of the administrative services division, which is responsible for the agency’s financial, purchasing and procurement, building management, risk management and business continuity functions. Before joining the department 13 years ago, he spent 17 years serving at various other state agencies, including the Texas Animal Health Commission, Texas Juvenile Justice Department, Texas Health and Human Services and Texas Department of Transportation. In total, Chadli has more than 28 years of state service.

Chadli acquired a BBA degree in finance and MBA degree from Southwest Texas State University.
