Capra Bank Breaks Ground on Permanent Location in Lubbock

October 15, 2024

On September 24, Dubuque, Iowa-based Capra Bank broke ground on its new, permanent Texas location at 12115 Slide Rd. in Lubbock. The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce ambassadors, local business leaders and Capra Bank associates were in attendance. The Texas Tech University mascot, Raider Red, made an appearance and helped to turn the dirt during the ceremony.

“We chose a location in Lubbock that is a central corridor for the city and developing rapidly as the town expands toward the southwest,” says Greg Garland, president. “The new location will offer added convenience and accessibility to our customers with features like a drive-through, ATM and night-drop receptacle.”

Completion of the building is estimated to be late 2025. In the meantime, the bank is doing business at 7710 Milwaukee Ave., Ste. 400, in Lubbock.

Established in 1946, Capra Bank operates in Lubbock, as well as Iowa branches in Dubuque and Montezuma, and a New Mexico location in Albuquerque.
