Austin Bank Promotes Atkins and Welcomes Seifert

December 1, 2023

Jeff Austin III, chairman of the board of Jacksonville-based Austin Bank, recently announced a promotion and a new hire, both approved at the bank’s November board meeting.

Amanda AtkinsAmanda Atkins has been promoted to vice president/retail market manager. She will be responsible for overseeing retail operations in six offices in the bank’s north and rural regions, including Big Sandy, Gilmer, Kilgore, Emory, Grand Saline and Van.

Atkins began her banking career with City National Bank and served there for nine years before its acquisition by Austin Bank. She has spent the past 24 years serving customers as a teller, customer service representative, teller supervisor, administrative assistant, retail office manager and assistant retail market manager. Atkins attended Kilgore College and is a member of Leadership Kilgore.

Thomas SeifertThomas Seifert has joined the bank as vice president/treasury management sales specialist. He will work from the Creekside Park location to further develop business in The Woodlands area.

Seifert brings 23 years of corporate, commercial, treasury management, wholesale, customer service and consumer banking experience his new role. He has focused on treasury management since 2011 and previously worked for Wells Fargo and Texas Capital Bank. Seifert has earned a BS degree in psychology/business administration and an MBA degree, as well as the designation of certified treasury professional. He is a member of the National Association for Financial Professionals.

Established in 1900, Austin Bank operates in 36 East Texas locations within 26 cities and 14 counties. It is locally owned and operated by the Austin family, which is celebrating 114 years of service in the Texas banking industry.
