Austin Bank Opens New Banking Center in Gilmer

July 13, 2023

On July 12, Jacksonville-based Austin Bank and the Gilmer Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new full-service banking center in Gilmer, Texas. The event was well attended by members of the Chamber and Gilmer ISD, business leaders, the Austin Bank leadership team and employees, along with associates of the SLI Group Inc. of Houston, the project’s architect and general contractor. The 3,000-square-foot branch is located at 611 U.S. Hwy. 271 N.

Austin Bank’s Gilmer office is under the leadership of Thomas Smith, vice president and relationship manager, and Marti Hart, retail office manager. “They are leading a strong team committed to being there for our friends and neighbors,” says Jeff Austin III, chairman of the board.

Established in 1900, Austin Bank operates 36 East Texas locations within 26 cities and 14 counties. Austin Bank is locally owned and operated by the Austin family, which is celebrating 114 years of service in the Texas banking industry.
