Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 7–13, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, to acquire StoneCastle Insured Sweep LLC, based in New York, New York.

Branches

The OCC reports that VeraBank NA, based in Henderson, has established a branch at 200 River Point, Ste. 100, in Conroe. The agency also reports that it has approved an application by VeraBank NA to establish a branch at 701 W. State Hwy. 71 in Bastrop.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Liberty National Bank, based in Lawton, Oklahoma, to establish a branch at 5550 Granite Pkwy., Ste. 155, in Plano.

The TDB reports that Bank of South Texas, based in McAllen, has established a branch at 320 E. University Dr. in Edinburg.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 3092 Horizon in Rockwall.

The TDB reports that Susser Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish a branch at 200 Austin Hwy., Ste. 401, in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that American State Bank, based in Arp, has applied to establish a branch at 500 Dallas St., Ste. A, in Plainview.
