Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 4–10, 2024

Name Changes

The TDB reports that First State Bank, based in Abilene, has changed its name to Avana Bank.

Home Offices

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Susser Bank, based in Dallas, to relocate its home office from 100 Crescent Ct., Ste. 575, in Dallas to 4010 Maple Ave., Ste. 150A, in Dallas.

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 7545 Burnet Rd. in Austin.

The OCC reports that VeraBank NA, based in Henderson, has applied to establish a branch at 3002 Barron Rd. in College Station.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has applied to relocate a branch from 101 E. Nolte in Seguin to 360 S. State Hwy. 123 Bypass in Seguin.

The TDB reports that Frontier Bank of Texas, based in Elgin, has established a branch at 107 NW Loop 230 in Smithville.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 9605 Coit Rd. in Plano.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First State Bank of Burnet, based in Burnet, to establish a branch at 2315 W. 5th St. in Plainview.

The TDB reports that Maverick Bank, based in Fort Davis, has applied to establish a branch at 811 9th St. in Levelland.
