Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 30–September 5, 2020

Mergers and Acquisitions

The FRBD reports that Abilene Holdco Inc., based in Abilene, has applied to become a bank holding company by acquiring 100 percent of BSA Bankshares Inc., based in Abilene; BSA Delaware Inc., based in Wilmington, Delaware; and First State Bank, based in Abilene.

The FRBD reports that Greenback Fincorp Inc., based in Austin, has applied to become a bank holding company by acquiring 100 percent of Austin Capital Bank SSB, based in Austin.

Conversions

The TDB reports that CapTex Bank, now based in Fort Worth (formerly Trenton), has converted from a national banking association to a state-chartered bank. The agency also reports that CapTex Bank has relocated its home office from 106 Hamilton St. in Trenton to 2929 W. Fifth St. in Fort Worth.

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, has applied to establish a branch at the southwest corner of  Hwy. 6 and Lexington Blvd. in Sugar Land.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, to establish a branch at 400 W. Davis in Conroe.

The TDB reports that UBank, based in Huntington, has applied to establish a branch at 6120 S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler.

The TDB reports that ValueBank Texas, based in Corpus Christi, has established a branch at 9712 W. FM 2147, Ste. 103, in Horseshoe Bay.

The TDB reports that One World Bank, based in Dallas, has established a branch at 10080 Bellaire Blvd., Ste. 101, in Houston.
