Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 29–September 4, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Capital Bank of Texas, based in Carrizo Springs, to merge with BAT Investments Inc., based in Austin.

The TDB reports that First United Bank, based in Dimmitt, has merged with First Bank and Trust of Childress, based in Childress.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Citizens State Bank, based in Somerville, to merge with Burton State Bank, based in Burton.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Texas Exchange Bank, based in Crowley, has applied to convert to a Texas state-chartered bank under the name Texas Exchange Bank SSB.

Branches

The OCC reports that Commercial Bank of Texas National Association, based in Nacogdoches, has established a branch at 321 N. Central Expwy., Ste. 100, in McKinney.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank and Trust Co. of Weatherford, based in Weatherford, to establish a branch at 100 Willow Bend Dr. in Willow Park.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank National Association, based in Sioux Falls, has relocated a branch from 615 Upper N. Broadway in Corpus Christi to 555 N. Carancahua St. in Corpus Christi.

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has applied to relocate a branch from 2201 Trimmer Dr. in Killeen to 901 E. Central Texas Expwy. in Killeen.

The TDB reports that Happy State Bank, based in Happy, has established a branch at 559 IH 35 in Round Rock.

The TDB reports that Grandview Bank, based in Grandview, has applied to establish a branch at 2500 SW Wilshire Blvd. in Burleson.
