Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 14–20, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by American Bank NA, based in Corpus Christi, to acquire TexStar National Bank, based in Universal City.

The OCC reports that Great Plains National Bank, based in Elk City, Oklahoma, has applied to acquire Providence Bank of Texas, based in Southlake.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Worthington National Bank, based in Arlington, has applied to convert to a state association under the name Worthington Bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 1900 N. Akard St., Ste 100, in Dallas. The agency also reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA has applied to establish a branch at the northwest corner of S. Fifth St. and JH Kultgen Expy. in Waco.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has applied to establish a branch at the northwest corner of FM 1488 and Spur 149 Rd. in Magnolia.

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has applied to establish a branch at 4830 FM 1463 Rd. in Katy.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The City National Bank of Sulphur Springs, based in Sulphur Springs, to establish a branch at 101 W. Main St. in Atlanta, Texas.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by American National Bank & Trust, based in Wichita Falls, to establish a branch at 409 N. Oak, Ste. 220, in Roanoke.

The OCC reports that Guaranty Bank & Trust NA, based in Mt. Pleasant, has applied to establish a branch at 2415 Williams Dr. in Georgetown.

The TDB reports that Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, has established a branch at 9802 Colonnade Blvd. in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that Grandview Bank, based in Grandview, has applied to relocate a branch from 139 College Park Dr. in Weatherford to 1111 Santa Fe Dr. in Weatherford.
