Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 9–15, 2023

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the southeast corner of St. Joseph Blvd. and Burnet Rd. in Austin.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The First National Bank of Central Texas, based in Waco, to establish a branch at 2908 E. Main St. in Gatesville.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by Austin Bank, based in Jacksonville, to relocate the following branches: from 865 U. S. Hwy. 271 N in Gilmer to 611 U.S. Hwy. 271 N in Gilmer; and from 26400 Kuykendahl Rd., Ste. A110, in The Woodlands to 26502 Kuykendahl Rd. in Spring.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Greater State Bank, based in McAllen, to establish a branch at 118 N. D. Salinas Blvd. in Donna.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, to establish the following branches: 1007 Hutchins Rd. in Dallas and 9655 Katy Fwy., Ste. 3160, in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First State Bank, based in Gainesville, to establish a branch at 719 N. New Rd. in Waco.

The TDB reports that Worthington Bank, based in Arlington, has applied to establish a branch at 1696 S. Loop 288 in Denton

The TDB reports that Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, has applied to establish a branch at 1970 Satellite Blvd. in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The TDB reports that Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, has applied to relocate a branch from 207 S. Athens St. in Canton to 898 W. Dallas St. in Canton.
