Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 7–13, 2024

Conversions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First Financial Bank and its holding company, First Financial Trust & Asset Management Co., both based in Abilene, to convert from a national banking association to a state-chartered bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by National Bank & Trust, based in La Grange, to establish a branch at 4401 S. Staples St. in Corpus Christi.

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has applied to establish a branch at 401 N. Hwy. 77, Ste. 20, in Waxahachie.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has applied to relocate a branch from 602 Lawrence St. in Tomball to 14235 FM 2920 in Tomball.

The TDB reports that Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, has established a branch at 1007 Hutchins Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Capital Bank, based in Houston, has established a branch at 1010 Bay Area Blvd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Independent Bank, based in McKinney, to establish a branch at 7220 Cotesworth Ave. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, to establish a branch at 3650 N. Major Dr. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Grandview Bank, based in Grandview, has applied to establish a branch at 209 S. Main St. in Salado.
