Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 3–9, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, has applied to acquire AccessBank Texas, based in Denton.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the southwest corner of FM 1488 and Spur 149 Rd. in Magnolia.

The OCC reports that Community National Bank, based in Midland, has established a branch at 17855 N. Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 195, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by VeraBank National Association, based in Henderson, to establish a branch at 1695 N. US Hwy. 183 in Leander.

The OCC reports that Cendera Bank National Association, based in Bells, has applied to relocate a branch from 3740 Benbrook Hwy. in Fort Worth to 2912 W. 6th St. in Fort Worth.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish the following branches: 1212 McDermott Dr., Ste. 400, in Allen; and 5225 N. Garland Ave. in Garland. The agency also reports that Frost Bank has applied to establish a branch at 6545 Hwy. 6 N in Houston.

The TDB reports that First State Bank, based in Gainesville, has applied to establish a branch at 201 S. Preston Rd., Ste. 200, in Celina.

The TDB report that it has approved an application by Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, to establish a branch at 3350 Steve Reynolds Blvd. in Duluth, Georgia.
