Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 25–May 1, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Happy State Bank, based in Happy, to acquire First National Bank of Tahoka, based in Tahoka.

The TDB reports that Peoples Bank, based in Lubbock, has acquired First Bank & Trust, based in Seymour.

Branches

The OCC reports that Amarillo National Bank, based in Amarillo, has established a branch at 4501 Camp Bowie in Fort Worth.

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank, based in Mercedes, has applied to establish a branch at 4345 N. Expwy. 77/83 in Brownsville.

The TDB reports that Bank of the West, based in Grapevine, has applied to establish a branch at 710 1st St. in Marble Falls.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by UBank, based in Huntington, to establish a branch at 522 State Hwy. 31 E, Ste. D, in Chandler.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, to establish a branch at 9802 Colonnade Blvd. in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that WestStar Bank, based in El Paso, has applied to establish a branch at 12160 Pebble Hills in El Paso.

The TDB reports that Susser Bank, based in Bedford, has applied to establish a branch at 11503 NW Military Hwy. in San Antonio.
