Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 21–27, 2024

Conversions

The TDB reports that First Financial Bank, based in Abilene, has converted from a national association to a Texas state-chartered bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that Home Bank NA, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, has established a branch at 5940 Fairmont Pkwy. in Pasadena.

The OCC reports that Extraco Banks NA, based in Temple, has applied to establish a branch at 102 S. 1st St. in Temple.

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has applied to establish a branch at 3511 Longmire Dr. in College Station.

The OCC reports that U.S. Bank NA, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at 9753 Katy Fwy., Ste. 100, in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Frontier Bank of Texas, based in Elgin, to establish the following branches: 2651 E. University Ave. in Georgetown and 107 NW Loop 230 in Smithville.

The TDB reports that Grandview Bank, based in Grandview, has applied to establish a branch at 209 S. Main St. in Salado.

The TDB reports that First State Bank, based in Shallowater, has applied to establish a branch at 4024 14th St. in Plano.

The TDB reports that Farmers and Merchants Bank, based in De Leon, has applied to establish a branch at 508 E. Central in Comanche.

The TDB reports that Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, has applied to establish a branch at 800 Gessner Rd., Ste. 250, in Houston.
