Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 2–8, 2023

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Trustmark National Bank, based in Jackson, Mississippi, to establish a branch at 1070 Evergreen Circle, Ste. 100, in The Woodlands.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has applied to relocate a branch from 12200 Northwest Fwy. in Houston to 13280 Northwest Fwy. in Houston.

The TDB reports that Frontier Bank of Texas, based in Elgin, has established a branch at 813 N. Main St. in Taylor.

The TDB reports that Greater State Bank, based in McAllen, has applied to establish a branch at 118 N. D. Salinas Blvd. in Donna.

The TDB reports that Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish the following branches: 1007 Hutchins Rd. in Dallas and 9655 Katy Fwy., Ste. 3160, in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish the following branches: 3970 FM 2181 in Hickory Creek and 1155 N.E. Loop 410 in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that First State Bank, based in Gainesville, has applied to establish a branch at 719 N. New Rd. in Waco.

The TDB reports that Texas First Bank, based in Texas City, has applied to relocate a branch from 2103 N. Main St. in Liberty to 1302 N. Main St. in Liberty.
