Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 18–24, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Happy State Bank, based in Happy, has applied to acquire First National Bank of Tahoka, based in Tahoka.

The TDB reports that Commercial Bank of Texas National Association, based in Nacogdoches, has acquired a branch from Texas Bank and Trust Co., based in Longview. The branch is located at 102 W. Columbia in San Augustine.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Wells Fargo Bank National Association, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to establish a branch at 6445 FM 1463 Rd. in Katy.

The OCC reports that Austin Bank, based in Jacksonville, has applied to establish a branch at 26400 Kuykendahl Rd., Ste. A110, in Tomball.

The OCC reports that Guaranty Bank & Trust National Association, based in Mt. Pleasant, has applied to establish a branch at 120 W. 8th St. in Georgetown.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 3426 Garth Rd. in Baytown.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Partners Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 1717 W. 6th St., Ste. 110, in Austin.

The TDB reports that Alliance Bank, based in Sulphur Springs, has applied to establish a branch at 3620 SH 121, Ste. 100, in Plano.

The FRBD reports that Origin Bank, based in Choudrant, Louisiana, has applied to establish a branch at 13601 Midway Rd. in Farmers Branch.
