Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 11–17, 2021

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB and FRBD report that BAT Investments Inc., based in Austin, has applied to acquire Capital Bank of Texas, based in Carrizo Springs.

Branches

The OCC reports that Bank of America National Association, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has applied to establish a branch at 2522 W. Grand Pkwy. N in Katy.

The OCC reports that Zions Bancorporation National Association, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has relocated a branch from 10701 W. Bellfort in Houston to 11213 W. Airport Blvd. in Stafford.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Southside Bank, based in Tyler, to establish a branch at 1800 Post Oak Blvd., Ste. 300, in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, to establish the following branches: the corner of Preston and John Hickman in Frisco; 5647 W. Lovers Ln. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Susser Bank, based in Bedford, to establish a branch at 3030 Matlock Rd. in Arlington.

The TDB reports that Bank of the West, based in Grapevine, has applied to establish a branch at 710 1st St. in Marble Falls.

The TDB reports that UBank, based in Huntington, has applied to establish a branch at 522 State Hwy. 31 E, Ste. D, in Chandler.

The TDB reports that Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, has applied to establish a branch at 9802 Colonnade Blvd. in San Antonio.

The TDB and FRBD report that WestStar Bank, based in El Paso, has applied to establish a branch at 12160 Pebble Hills in El Paso.
