Amegy Bank, Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce to Host Ribbon-Cutting for Convent Branch

June 13, 2025

Houston-based Amegy Bank is opening its newest banking center on the first floor of 300 Convent St. in downtown San Antonio. The branch opening precedes the bank’s Central Texas’ headquarters relocation to the 21st and 22nd floors of the same building. Spanning more than 44,000 square feet, the new office space increases the bank’s market footprint by nearly 63 percent.

On June 27, Amegy Bank, in collaboration with the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new Alamo City banking center. The event will be held at 9 a.m. at the new branch. Free parking will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for event guests in the 300 Convent parking garage, located on N. Saint Mary’s St.

The event will feature remarks from local business and civic leaders, proclamation and membership plaque presentations, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and breakfast bites and refreshments. Speakers and special guests will include David McGee, Amegy Bank’s Central Texas CEO; April Bailey, the bank’s Central Texas president; Jeff Webster, president and CEO of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce; and Trish DeBerry, Centro San Antonio President and CEO.

Established in 1990, Amegy Bank, a division of Zions Bancorporation NA, has more than 75 locations across Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and Central Texas.
