Akladios Joins Moody Bank as Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer

Nashwa AkladiosNashwa Akladios has joined Galveston-based Moody Bank’s Friendswood banking team as senior vice president and commercial banking officer. With more than 30 years of banking experience, she specializes in commercial and residential real estate, construction, commercial, industrial, and asset-based lending, equipment financing and lines of credit.

Akladios comes to Moody Bank from Truist, for which she served as vice president and branch leader for more than 20 years. Prior to that, she was vice president/financial center manager at Citi in Houston. She also worked for five-plus years in private banking at BB&T Bank.

Akladios earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Cairo University in Giza, Egypt, and an MBA degree in management from the University of North Alabama. She is active in her community through various nonprofit organizations and is bilingual, communicating in both English and Arabic.

Established in 1907, Moody Bank operates 14 branches in Galveston, Austin, Central Texas, Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast.
