Chase G. Anderson has joined First National Bank of Bastrop as chief financial officer. He will be responsible, in part, for preparing the bank as it approaches $1 billion in assets. With more than 15 years of banking and finance experience, he most recently served as the executive vice president/chief accounting officer and treasurer at Louisiana-based Origin Bank. There, he prepared the company for its 2018 initial public offering and was part of the investor relations team. Anderson also drove innovation initiatives at Origin Bank. He began his career at Grant Thornton LLP in its Dallas tax practice, leaving the firm in 2013 as an audit experienced manager.
Anderson holds a BA degree in accounting and business administration/finance from Ouachita Baptist University and is currently enrolled in the executive MBA program at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business in Austin. He holds an active CPA license in the State of Texas and is a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
“We are excited to welcome Chase and his family to Bastrop,” says Reid Sharp, president and chief executive officer. “His experience will be an asset to our bank given the tremendous growth we’re experiencing in the area.”
Established in 1889, First National Bank of Bastrop operates six full-service locations throughout the Bastrop County area, with assets of more than $878 million.
