Texas Bank and Trust Promotes Cates and Howard

June 23, 2021

Longview-based Texas Bank and Trust recently announced that Jana Cates has been promoted to vice president/assistant controller and Aida Howard has been promoted to assistant vice president in the bank’s trust division.

Cates has been employed with Texas Bank and Trust in its accounting division since 2008 and currently serves as accounting supervisor. Her responsibilities include the supervision of the department’s accounting assistants and preparation of monthly financial statements, along with the bank’s annual budget. Cates holds an associate of arts degree in business from Kilgore College and a BS degree in finance from Louisiana Tech University. She is a member of the Junior League of Longview.

Howard has been employed with the bank since 2014, when she began as an accountant in its trust division. She has most recently worked as trust operations coordinator. Howard holds a BBA degree in management from Wiley College. She serves as a board member for the Longview World of Wonders Children’s Museum and is a volunteer for United Way.

Established in 1958, Texas Bank and Trust Co. operates 21 full-service branches throughout East Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
