Lubbock-based Plains Bancorp Inc., the holding company for First United Bank and Spirit Mortgage, recently announced the following promotions:
- Julie Parsons, vice president. She has been with the bank since 2018 and has 23 years of mortgage industry experience. Parsons offices in the bank’s Amarillo Colonies banking center, where she is a mortgage loan officer. She has an associate’s degree in applied science.
- Peggy Alexander, vice president. She has been with the bank since 2007 and has 17 years of banking experience. Alexander is the operations manager of the bank’s Amarillo Colonies branch.
- Robin Evans, vice president. She has been with Spirit Mortgage since 2012 and has 35 years of banking experience. Evans is the closing/funding manager in the bank’s mortgage department and has a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate law.
- Robin Rucker, vice president. She has been with the bank since 2005 and has 30 years of banking experience. Rucker is a loan officer and works in loan administration in the bank’s Littlefield banking center. She holds an associate’s degree in science.
- Taylor Thornton, vice president. He has been with the bank since 2015 and has five years of banking experience. Thornton is a loan officer in the bank’s Seminole branch and holds a bachelor’s degree in agri-business.
- Topher Empson, vice president. He has been with the bank since 2016 and has seven years of banking experience. Empson is a loan officer in the bank’s Lubbock Northwest banking center and has a bachelor’s degree in finance.
- Stuart Sutton, executive vice president. He has been with the bank since 2003 and has 18 years of banking experience. Sutton is the banking center manager of the Canyon branch, the bank’s North regional manager and an advisory director on the board of directors. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance.
- Phillip York, advisory director. He has been with the bank since 1995 and has 34 years of banking experience. York is executive vice president and manager of the bank’s Earth location. He is also the West regional manager.
